Nasal Surgery

Introduction

Nasal Surgery is performed on both outside and inside the nose. It is done either for cosmetic or for medical purposes. This surgery improves the forms and functions of the nose. It can also be performed to rectify the nose, if the shape and size of the nose is not perfect. It corrects deformities from birth and repair nasal injuries. It also cure nasal breathing problems.

There are different kinds of nasal surgery like,

Septoplasty- It is a process of surgically correcting deformities and defects of nasal septum.
Rhinoplasty- It is a process of surgically repairing nose defects, shape and size of the nose.

The average length of Nasal Surgery is very small and is about two hours.

the procedure depends on the condition of the surgery. But there is a standard pattern for the surgery which is to be followed. The surgery is performed by keeping the patients under local anesthesia.

Side Effects of nasal Surgery

Puffiness of the face and nose aches are common after effects of the nose surgery. Dull headaches, small amount of bleeding can also be seen in the patient who have undergone this surgery.
